Roomster is advanced housing rental site, and world's largest social network for roommates, rooms, apartments, flats, rentals and sublets with over 1.5 million profiles and listings and 4 million active users serving all the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Roomster broke from the norm and changed the way apartment hunting on the internet had been done. Roomster helps match roommates with a compatible personality by offering numerous features including the ability to search for roommates by age, interest, or location. The idea of the service is to connect people who need a roommate or have an apartment to sublet with those who need an apartment. Users can browse through the community, looking for people with rooms to rent or for people looking for one of those rooms.
All of Roomster's basic features are free; anyone can search for listings, enter a profile, and view profile information for potential roommates. While sending messages to other users is free, responding to them requires an account upgrade for a fee.
Roomster Corp. is a private New York based start-up founded on September 27, 2003 by entrepreneurs John S. Shriber and Roman Zaks.
The Company is not backed by venture capital and is not seeking investors. Roomster is staffed by a small dedicated team.
